What We Do: A Mission-Driven Legal Practice
Our pro bono legal services are a core part of our identity as a Christian, faith-based, public benefit law firm founded on catholic social teachings. We serve clients who are facing serious, systemic harm — especially when they lack access to traditional legal help.
We focus on cases where legal advocacy can be a force for truth, healing, and restoration.
We Represent Clients In:
- Civil Rights & Institutional Abuse
Discrimination, retaliation, police misconduct, and civil liberties violations. - Housing Justice
Especially evictions or notices to quit issued without legal justification — such as when rent is current and no legal charge has been filed. - Predatory Lending & Consumer Exploitation
Mortgage fraud, payday loan traps, abusive debt collection, or systemic financial misconduct. - Whistleblower and Investor Advocacy
We stand with those who speak the truth about fraud and corruption — whether under the IRS, SEC, or False Claims Act. - Mass Harm & Class Actions
Especially where public policy or structural injustice is involved.
What We Don’t Do
We are not a general legal aid firm, and we rarely accept family law cases (divorce, custody, etc.) unless tied to a broader civil rights or systemic injustice issue.
If we cannot take your case, we’ll do our best to connect you to resources that can.
How Our Pro Bono Legal Services Work
Equal Justice Solutions uses a means-tested sliding scale model. Here’s how it works:
- You apply, disclosing income, assets, and relevant facts about your situation.
- We assess the legal merits and alignment with our mission.
- If your case qualifies, we may:
- Represent you pro bono (completely free),
- Offer low bono services (reduced-rate), or
- Assist with legal strategy or referrals.
Our hybrid model — funded in part by our ethical commercial practice — lets us take fewer cases with greater care, ensuring every client gets elite representation regardless of income.
