Stuart J. Guber is a nationally respected securities lawyer and complex litigation attorney with over 30 years of experience handling high-stakes investment loss, shareholder rights, and business litigation matters. At Equal Justice Solutions, Stuart applies his deep trial experience and strategic insight to recover losses and secure governance reforms for institutional investors across the country.

Stuart has acted as lead and co-lead counsel in major securities fraud, commercial litigation, and shareholder derivative actions—achieving more than $2 billion in recoveries for public pension systems, union members, and other institutional stakeholders. He is known as a tenacious business litigation attorney who combines courtroom skill with systemic impact.

His work has resulted in major corporate governance reforms at Fortune 500 companies. Notably, he helped secure board-level cybersecurity oversight at Home Depot and Wendy’s, and a food safety governance council at Chipotle. Bloomberg Law called the Home Depot data breach settlement “a blueprint for other companies” facing cybersecurity failures.

Stuart regularly litigates in both federal and state courts, including appearances in six U.S. Courts of Appeals and extensive practice before Delaware’s Chancery and Supreme Courts. His clients have included public pension funds, Taft-Hartley plans, and institutional investors nationwide—often in disputes involving complex financial misconduct, breach of fiduciary duty, or merger-related fraud.

  • Robbins v. Koger Properties (M.D. Flo.) Achieved jury verdict for $81.3 million in securities class action against Deloitte.
  • In re Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories Ltd. Shareholder Lit., Lead counsel in M&A case that settled for a 6.5% increase in price per share in all cash merger.
  • Naomi v. Starbucks Corp., won reversal in 9th Circuit of dismissed class action complaint.
  • Schrieber v. Kellogg, 50 F.3d 264 (3d Cir. 1994) Established Restatement Trust (2d) §157(c) to pierce the spendthrift clause of the Wanamaker Trust in a case of first impression.
