Renee Cook is a seasoned complex litigation attorney and whistleblower lawyer with more than two decades of experience in high-stakes litigation across civil rights, employment, commercial, and public integrity matters. Renee brings a nationally respected litigation background and a prosecutor’s precision to cases that demand both courage and strategy.
Renee previously served as a lead attorney in the landmark opioid litigation (MDL 2804) at Morgan & Morgan—one of the largest law firms in the United States—where she oversaw discovery and deposition strategy against opioid distributors and national pharmacy chains. Her leadership in that litigation helped local governments and communities hold corporate actors accountable for their role in the opioid epidemic.
Her civil litigation experience spans whistleblower and False Claims Act cases, employment discrimination and retaliation, mass torts, and civil rights claims. As an employment lawyer, Renee represents clients in wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and workplace harassment cases. As a whistleblower attorney, she has worked on matters involving government fraud, public health violations, and systemic abuse.
She also brings significant experience as a commercial litigation attorney, representing clients in contract disputes, corporate misconduct, and fraud-related claims. Her work consistently reflects a client-centered, results-driven approach informed by years of courtroom experience.
Earlier in her career, Renee served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Illinois, trying approximately 20 jury trials and supervising criminal trial units. That foundation in public prosecution sharpened her investigative instincts and deepened her commitment to justice for the most vulnerable.
She is licensed to practice in Florida and Illinois, including the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida and the Northern District of Illinois.
